What is the Old Media Converter?

Which legacy media formats are supported?
Video: RealMedia (.rm, .rmvb), Windows Media (.wmv, .asf), Flash (.flv, .f4v, .swf), 3GP/3G2, DVD VOB/MPG, camcorder MOD/TOD, DV, legacy-codec AVI and MOV, DivX, Ogg Media and Nullsoft NSV. Audio: RealAudio (.ra), WMA, Sun/NeXT AU, AIFF, Creative VOC, AMR, ProTracker/FastTracker modules, Monkey's Audio, Musepack, DSS and Shorten. MIDI is recognised but is a score, not audio, so it cannot be converted here.
Can I convert DRM-protected WMV or WMA files?
No. Files bought from stores such as MSN Music or Napster with Windows Media DRM are encrypted and cannot be decoded by any converter.
Will the quality improve?
No converter can add detail that was not in the source, but re-encoding at high quality avoids further loss and makes the file playable. Choose WAV or FLAC for audio if you want to avoid a second lossy step.
Are my videos kept on your servers?
No. Files are used only for the conversion you requested and are deleted automatically within three hours.
